School AED Legislation

Protecting children is a high priority that every parent understands instinctively. When Sudden Cardiac Arrest strikes our children we all feel the pain of that loss personally, especially when we consider that an AED could easily have saved that life. State Lawmakers are beginning to recognize and address this preventable threat and fulfill their responsibility to protect our children. The 12 States listed below have already stepped up and adopted legislation pertaining to AEDs in schools. Other states are certain to follow.

States with AED Legislation for Schools

  • California
  • Delaware
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Illinois
  • Maine
  • Massachusetts
  • New Jersey
  • New York
  • Pennsylvania
  • Rhode Island
  • Virginia

If your state is not on the list, then it is time we help them get there. How?

Contact your state legislators and let them know we need them to be informed on this issue and support funding and placement of AED Machines in all our schools. Who are my senators?

Donate an AED

Would you like to do something great for your community?  Thinking about upgrading your existing AED machines?

Donate your functioning AED’s to a worthy cause.  Many non-profit organizations in your community lack the funding to place AED machines in the buildings that their citizens and children frequent.  You can do a wonderful thing by donating these life saving machines to the to a community organization of your choice.

Through partnerships with groups like the YMCA, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and the AARP, you can choose to donate your AED machine to your local branch of the Y, Boys & Girls Club, or a local senior citizens organization.
